What's the strangest way you've ever used a pencil?

As a pen. While I've been lucky and haven't had to do this one myself, I have heard tell that a pencil, and in extreme emergency a pen, is perfect for quickly deflating a raft so that someone trapped between it and a hard place (rock and log come to mind) can be saved as the knives we are allowed to carry have no point to them..

Favorite artists, drawings or paintings?

All of them, except the really mean ones. No matter how cool the art, if the artist isn't, I can't really bring myself to like the art. Then again I'm sure I do like a lot of mean person art and just don't know it.

Favorite Famous Pencil User?

WoodChuck, it is late and I've forgotten his real name. If it weren't for his Palomino's and Duraflame's I never would have gotten back into using more pencils (I've used a #2B everyday to help keep the stupids away) or been able to be so lazy about starting my fires.

Most Influencial Teacher and why?

People I meet everyday. Everyone has so much to teach so I can't choose just one.

Favorite Pencils?

Need you ask? Palomino's HB and 2B. I also love my Ohto Promecha 1500P mechanical pencils, especially the 0.7 mm, you can adjust everything on this pencil and with Pentel Ain lead this pencil stands neck and neck, and side by side, with a Palomino pencil. And having just received some Tombow Mono 100's Pro's and Mitsubishi Hi-uni's I'm becoming increasingly fond of them as well. If only Palomino would offer a 6B and 4H, as well as the rest of their series, in black with gold trimmings I'd be in heaven.

Favorite writers, authors, books or short stories?

I read way to much to be able to choose just one or 100, but my favorite book is The Little Saint by Georges Simenon (It's Existential, about colors, has pencils and creation is the main theme)followed closely by Stuart Little.

What do you like most about using pencils and what do you use them for most often?

They can be found FREE, just look down when your out and about and you'll find one. Pencils are the great equalizer of the release of knowledge and imagination.
