Well, we're in the Way-Back Machine now kids! I did this drawing about 20 years ago during Christmas break in my second year of university (oops, my Geek is showing)! The drawing is on a 20x30 sheet of paper, and as I recall, took about 40 hours (while sitting at my kitchen table). Please see comments for further info.

Cosmo Girl drawing
I did this to prove to my drawing instructors (AND fellow students, of course!) that I really could draw. You be the judge. The original image is from a fashion spread in Cosmopolitan magazine. I don't know who the model was.
You Really Can Draw
First, of all thanks for posting all of your incredible pencil drawings in recent few weeks.
There is no doubt you really can draw and I am sure any doubters amongst your past fellow students and instructors would certainly have long since been convinced of this. The level of detail and dedication to creating that detail is both a talent and an extreme meausre of your dedication and commitment to your art. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.
I think it would be interesting to see a time lapse series of some simple objects to demonstrate your technique and process of building your images.
Drawing ability
Thank you so much for your kind comments! Your appreciation means a great deal to me, I can assure you. I am gratified that you are interested in the techniques I use; however I don't have a video camera, so doing a video time-lapse is not possible. However, I have taken sequential photos of the "Steam Tractor" drawing (done at 50 hour intervals) and I could send those to you in an email if you'd like.
I also want to say that I was pleased to discover the Palomino pencils when I found this site. I have ordered several different grades and will be posting a (very positive) review soon.
Thanks again
