JLI welcomes you to our new drawing basics class format that includes the beginnings of the illustrated genre in cartoon and comic art. This quarter we will look at the creative works of the Walt Disney Studios and their animal inspired characters brought to life for the big screen.
Using the films, such as the animated classics the Lion King, Sleeping Beauty and 101 Dalmations, as reference, art students will be shown a variety of illustration techniques as drawn in a how-to format. By the end of quarter each artist will come away with skills including guidelines for drawing animal anthropomorphic characters, drawing characters with color, and rotating for perspective.
We look forward to you joining our scribble time on Mondays from 330-430.
